Launched in January 2020, AuctionYourCask.com is the world’s first online live cask dedicated whisky auction site.
We give private investors the freedom to exercise an open and transparent exit strategy. As well as offer an opportunity for anyone in the market (including trade) to buy rare and old casks that up until now have been hidden away. The auction takes place four times a year, lasts 10-12 days and is only accessible to registered bidders.
Inaugural Auction
January 2020 The first auction went very well with over 300 hundred registered bidders from all over the world. The most expensive and exclusive cask sold was a 1995 Springbank Sherry hogshead, for over £40,000. The most bid on was a 2015 Glen Ord, sold for £3,000. This cask increased in value by 80% in only 6 months! At 63.8% abv and only 5 years old, this whisky has got a long life ahead of itself and is perfect for a long-term investment.
The Second Cask Whisky Auction
August 2020 Due to the global pandemic, the originally planned April auction has been postponed to August. This one will be even bigger and better with the number of registered bidder reaching 500! We've released a sneak preview of some of the entering casks including a 2013 Craigellachie, 2013 Teaninich, 2016 Glen Moray and a 2015 Glen Ord - TWO sister casks to the popular cask from our first auction.
