James Phillips

James has spent close to 20 years in the drinks industry, most recently working as the Spirits Buyer for London wine merchant Jeroboams. Hailing from Oban and with family connections to the Scotch whisky industry, it’s no surprise that a career in whisky came calling. James holds a General Certificate in Distillation and regularly judges at the International Wine and Spirits Competition. He also has a PhD in Cultural Studies from Goldsmiths University, London.
