Alan Ironside

Alan grew up in the heart of Speyside, also known as Malt Whisky Country. His career in whisky is one of the most varied and exciting in the company. Almost 10 years ago he started as a lab technician at Roseisle Maltings, then moved on as a tour guide for Glen Moray Distillery and Laphroaig. His career took a leap to India where he worked as a graduate brand ambassador for Ballantine’s and Pernod Ricard’s single malts for almost three years. Alan moved back to the UK and joined the Cask Trade Marketing Team in 2022, sharing his global experience. Today, Alan is now a valued free-lance contact of Cask Trade and still regularly helps contribute to blogs and articles.
